System Setup

By default, invoices come from noreply@businessbetter.co.uk. To send them from your email address:

  1. Go to Settings > Email Configuration.
  2. Toggle "Use Custom SMTP" to ON.
  3. Enter your provider details (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, or Fasthosts).
  4. Host: smtp.livemail.co.uk (for Fasthosts) or smtp.gmail.com.
  5. Port: Usually 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL).
  6. Enter your email address and password.
  7. Click "Test Connection".
Note: If using Gmail, you must generate an "App Password" in your Google Account settings first.
Fleet & Staff

To track a vehicle's MOT, Tax, and Service history:

  1. Navigate to the Fleet tab in your dashboard.
  2. Click the blue + Add Vehicle button.
  3. Enter the Registration Number (VRM).
  4. Our system will automatically pull the Make/Model from the DVLA database.
  5. Assign a "Default Driver" if one person uses this van permanently.

Drivers: Are assigned to a vehicle in the Fleet tab.

Crew/Engineers: Are assigned to Jobs.

  • Go to Schedule and click on a Job.
  • In the "Assigned Staff" box, search for your engineer's name.
  • Note: You must first invite them via Settings > Users > Invite New User.

Once assigned, the job will instantly appear on their mobile app.
